Located in Camden, Sydney Cavoodles are a small boutique breeder in first generation Toy and Mini Cavoodles.

A Cavoodle possesses the gentle nature of the Cavalier and the non-shedding hair from the Toy Poodle – the best features of both breeds. This crossbreeding of the two purebred pedigrees produces a very low to non-shedding, gorgeous natured Cavoodle puppy with the added bonus of looking like a teddy bear.

Sydney Cavoodles Stud dog's Dexter, Nacho, Gizmo, Odin, Caesar and Zeus are all Red Toy Poodle's and Apollo is a small Mini Poodle, that have been tested for the following and at least 20 generations back in their bloodlines,

Degenerative Myelopathy (Normal / Clear)

Mucoplysaccharidosis (Normal / Clear)

Prosgressive Rod Cone Degeneration - PRA (Normal by Parentage History)

What do these results mean? Dexter, Nacho, Apollo, Gizmo, Odin, Cesar and Zeus can be bred to any female dog and regardless of whether she is affected by any of the above conditions the offspring will never be affected as they will pick up one normal gene from the boys to cancel out the disease.

Every Sydney Cavoodle is vaccinated, micro chipped, and full vet check.

When you collect your puppy they will have a Puppy Pack to get you started 2kg Royal Canin Puppy Food, a vaccination card, microchip paperwork and a comprehensive information pack which has everything you need to know about your new puppy.

Guardian Homes - We only keep a small number of dogs in our home and prefer to place our other dogs in loving guardian homes all placed with families with children with disabilities i.e. (Autism) where they can receive the care and affection they deserve and need.

Sydney Cavoodles also offer lifetime re-homing no matter what age or condition the puppy/dog is in.

WHAT IS A CAVOODLE

A Cavoodle is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Poodle. A Toy Cavoodle is a cross between a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and a Toy Poodle. A Miniature Cavoodle is a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel cross with a Miniature Poodle

WHAT IS A FIRST GENERATION CAVOODLE

A first generation Toy Cavoodle means one parent is a pure bred Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and one parent is a pure bred Toy or Mini Poodle.

HOW BIG IS A TOY CAVOODLE

Toy Cavoodles are between 28cm and 35cm (approximately) in height. Toy Cavoodles weigh between 5kg and 8kg (approximately)

HOW BIG IS A MINI CAVOODLE

Miniature Cavoodles are between 33cm and 45cm (approximately) in height. Miniature Cavoodles weigh between 9kg and 15kg (approximately).

ARE THE PARENTS DNA TESTED

All of Sydney Cavoodles Parents have been DNA health cleared for over 30 different genetic health issues and are Vaccinated, Microchipped, Vet Checked and come with a Health Guarantee.

DO CAVOODLES SHED

So far our puppies have been completely non-shedding but we like to say low-shedding just in case.
If a Poodle has a weak coat this will cause shedding, all of our poodles have a thick strong double furnished poodle coat.

ARE CAVOODLES A GOOD BREED WITH CHILDREN

Cavoodles make excellent family dogs and do great with kids. Cavoodles are gentle, patient dogs so make fantastic dogs for children.

CAVOODLE CARE

Sydney Cavoodles puppy coat's do not shed and will need to be groomed regularly - They will need to be brushed once a week just to get any prickles etc. out, Their hair will need to be cut at about 6 - 8 months, but it is also great to give them a little hygiene trim to keep their coat neat and even, particularly their face. We personally use the 'teddy bear' cut which is what we recommend for individuals to choose when having their cavoodle professionally groomed.

You can wash your cavoodles every few weeks or so - if you wash them too often (every week) they will lose essential puppy oils. Also ensure it is puppy shampoo as adult shampoo can disturb your cavoodle's coat ph. balance. Puppy shampoo available on my website.

CAVOODLE TEMPERAMENT

Most Cavoodles make great companions for anyone, from small children to the elderly. There have been cases of cavoodles with behavioral problems due to misbreeding. However, our cavoodles are friendly to everyone, including strangers, dogs and other pets. Our cavoodles are highly intelligent (therefore, easy to train) and are aware of all of their surroundings like the poodle but more relaxed like the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

CAVOODLE LIFE EXPECTANCY

The cavoodle approximate full life span is 15 years.

CAVOODLE LIVING ENVIRONMENT

Our Cavoodles are an indoor dog and are small enough not to cause disturbance, they have been nurtured in the home and will perfectly settle into yours. Our cavoodles also love time outside and going for walks (once fully vaccinated). They are fine with being left by themselves indoors for small periods of time, but they are curious and do check out everything in the room so a secure area is recommended.
